The main menu is long and difficult to use. You're stuck while important narration occurs, so every time I restarted the game I had to sit through the same scene. There's physics issues (There was a bowl of fruit that was rolling around. One playthrough an orange was rolling around in the bathroom. How did it get there? One of life's little mysteries.) There's tons of stuff all over the apartment, but it looks like most of it can't be used. On key items, a sticky note appears. On my playthroughs the sticky note became stuck to my controller and wouldn't come off. Overall mildly frustrating. I gave up on it after the third attempt to progress.. Interesting with a nice twist ending.. Elena is a lovely little walking simulator (not in the pejorative) wherin you walk around a cozy, clean Ikea home and try to figure out what is going on. I wouldn't say it gripped me, the story telling (in English) is about as good as you could expect a media school program somewhere in the Netherlands (I think) to muster. To solve the story, you mostly just pin notes and pictures to a cork board. It is brief, I beat this in about an hour and twenty minutes, and few people have been over to play it. In a year or so (that is by 2018), all of these little experiences will likely be forgotton, but for now, if you have a little free time and want to dive into a small, managable narrative, then you might give this a run.(Side note: I would really think this ought to sell for 4.99, I think the notion of selling this for 8.99 is a bit of a stretch.). Very easy escape room game.Starts bad I wanted to leave this game after 5 min...But the bizarre mature scenario and the very good music made me continue the adventure.I don't regret. For 3 euros I enjoyed the experience.. Short but great game with amazing graphics! Very much worth the price!. Great graphics, great intriguing story until the end, the game runs smoothly and interacting with objects is very easy. Length of this game i'd say is about 2 hours really stretching it out. I had a bug where if I tabbed out of the game and back in, I could no longer interact with objects and therefore had to restart leading to save issues as the game only saves during certain check points, which was annoying. The ending is absolute dog♥♥♥♥♥♥ Most people will see the end take shape about halfway or three quarters through exploring the home. The ending begins just as you might expect and you are absolutely FULL OF QUESTIONS!!!! The excitement and possibilities had my heart racing only for you to walk through one door and watch a cutscene on one of the walls of the next room play. This scene's narrative can be boiled down to "cuz ♥♥♥♥ you thats why" Then the credits roll. At no point do we see any real conclusion of the characters development nor we do we get any information on who the third party is calling us from within the home. I think I bought this for less than $10 IIRC, I'd say it's barely worth that. I cannot in good faith recommend this game unless you are just looking for a walking simulator to scratch the itch because you've played most of the good ones.. Found the game today while looking for some story-driven game for my Vive. Was pleasantly surprised! Although the game is short it's well done and I liked it a lot. In my opinion worth the money.Pros:- Good (multi-layered) story- Interesting setting- Hints at what is going on are well done without spoiling anything; they just get you to think about the possibilities.- Graphics are quite good- Sound is well done(- I like how the letters are projected into the game environment.)Cons:- Short (~1h?)- Some minor bugs (e.g. menu and or game graphics doubled for some reason which led to lags - a quick restart of the level did the trick)- Game mechanics are not explained well enough - or I somehow managed to completely ignore every instruction ever:1 I only found the projection of the letters by accidentally looking around while reading a letter up close...2 It was pure chance that I pressed on the sticky notes to connect them...3 Very irritating despawn of a game item... you grab it and only after letting it go again the story continues? - and then, while the item despawns you are told to use it... I know the game did it before and a click is enough, but... I don't know maybe it's because I expected the large item to be used physically... anyways, I restarted the scene twice because I didn't immediately understand whether that was supposed to happen.. An Ikea browsing simulation with unnerving chick flick overtones featuring a voice cameo by George Takei. Short but great game with amazing graphics! Very much worth the price!
